KEY STAGE 1 (AGE 5 TO 7)
YEAR 1 & 2 CURRICULUM
Introduction
The first stage of Primary School welcomes children from the Early Years and supports them in continuing their development through a fun and active approach to learning. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is integrated throughout to enhance the learning process. A balance of classroom-based lessons, a rich co-curricular programme, and education beyond the classroom ensures that every child receives a holistic education.
Most learning takes place within the nurturing environment of the classroom, led by the class teacher and supported by assistant teachers. Specialist teachers deliver lessons in Music, ICT, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, and Physical Education. Meanwhile, Science, History, Geography, Design Technology are taught through our engaging Topic Curriculum, following the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) framework.
