KEY STAGE 4
Year 10 and 11
Introduction
The Secondary School curriculum at KGSR focuses on guiding young, confident individuals to reach their full potential, in line with our KGSR Learner Skills and our commitment to providing strong academic care for all.
Our Key Stage 4 (Years 10 to 11) curriculum is designed to meet the academic, personal, and cultural needs of our students, better preparing them for future challenges while also creating enjoyable and engaging learning environments. Students begin selecting subjects that interest them and follow a broad mix of examined and non-examined courses that support success both in and beyond the classroom. The Year 10 and 11 curriculum helps shape young adults who not only achieve academic excellence but also grow into well-rounded individuals, fully prepared for the next stage of their learning journey.
"Our commitment to academic excellence, combined with rich experiences beyond the classroom, aims to inspire students to become world changers in both their local and global communities."
WAYNE HARDING (CAMPUS PRINCIPAL)

IN THE CLASSROOM
Implemented Curriculum
Our Key Stage 4 taught curriculum at KGSR offers students a balanced yet bespoke programme of study tailored to their individual interests and aspirations. At its core is a personalised combination of International GCSE qualifications undertaken by all students, further enriched by our diverse elective programme.
To ensure students develop as well-rounded individuals with accomplishments beyond academic success alone, the curriculum includes a range of KGSR elective courses. This well-structured and robust programme prepares students effectively for the challenges of our outstanding GCE A Level curriculum in Key Stage 5 (Years 12–13) or for continued study beyond KGSR.
As with all key stages, academic care remains central to our ethos. Regular curriculum time is devoted to the pastoral system and strengthened through meaningful engagement with tutor groups, supporting each learner’s personal and academic journey.
